These Terms & Conditions govern your use of LifePlaybooks™ websites, digital products, downloads and related services.

LifePlaybooks™ is a product of Eight28 Inc., an Alberta, Canada corporation. In these Terms, “Eight28 Inc.,” “LifePlaybooks™,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Eight28 Inc.

By accessing our websites, purchasing a product, downloading materials or using a LifePlaybooks™ resource, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not purchase or use our products.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to make a purchase from LifePlaybooks™.

Our family-related products may be used by adults to support children and families. They are not sold directly to children.

If you purchase on behalf of a business, employer or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to make the purchase and accept these Terms on its behalf.

3. Our Products

LifePlaybooks™ provides downloadable resources designed to help individuals, families, project managers, team leads and organizations create practical systems for life and work.

Products may include:

playbooks
guides and instructions
questionnaires
templates
checklists
worksheets
prompts
folder structures
planning resources
learning maps
bonus materials
other digital resources described on the applicable product page

The specific contents of each purchase will be identified on the sales page or checkout page at the time of purchase.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, LifePlaybooks™ products are digital products. No physical product will be shipped.

Custom consulting, coaching or professional services are not included with a digital product unless they are specifically listed as part of the offer. Separate services may be governed by an additional written agreement.

4. Product-Specific Terms

Each product page or checkout page may contain additional terms that apply to that product, including:

the product description
what is included
the purchase price and currency
applicable taxes
payment terms
delivery arrangements
required software or subscriptions
the permitted licence scope
refund or cancellation conditions
any product-specific limitations

These product-specific terms form part of your agreement with Eight28 Inc.

If a product-specific term conflicts with these general Terms, the product-specific term will apply to that purchase to the extent of the conflict. Nothing in either document limits a right that cannot lawfully be waived.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices and currencies are displayed on the applicable sales or checkout page.

Unless otherwise stated, payment is due in full at the time of purchase. A purchase will not be completed until payment has been successfully processed.

Payments are handled by the third-party payment provider displayed during checkout. Eight28 Inc. does not directly collect or store your complete payment card or banking information.

Your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion rates, international transaction fees or other charges. These additional charges are outside our control.

Applicable taxes will be displayed or added during checkout where required.

We may change product prices at any time. A price change will not affect a purchase that has already been completed.

We will not charge recurring payments unless a subscription or payment plan is clearly disclosed and accepted during checkout.

6. Order Confirmation and Digital Delivery

After a successful purchase, you will receive access to the product through one or more of the following:

a download page
an email
a customer account or portal
another delivery method disclosed during checkout

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate email address and checking your spam or junk folder.

If you do not receive access to your purchase within the delivery period stated during checkout, contact support@life-playbooks.com.

You are responsible for downloading and securely storing your purchased materials. We do not guarantee that download links or customer portals will remain available indefinitely.

7. Product Licences

Every LifePlaybooks™ purchase includes a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the product within the scope identified on the applicable product or checkout page.

Licence types may include:

individual use
single-household use
single-team use
organization-wide use
client or consultant use
another licence expressly described at purchase

If no licence type is stated, the product is licensed only to the original purchaser for their own personal or internal use.

Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of the product or its intellectual property to you.

Additional people, households, teams, departments, client organizations or businesses may require additional licences.

8. Permitted Use

Subject to the licence purchased, you may:

download and retain a working copy of the product
print materials for your permitted personal, household, team or organizational use
complete and customize fillable sections
adapt recommendations to your circumstances
share completed materials with people included within your licence
store completed materials within your permitted household, team or organization
use the product for its intended purpose

Any customization must remain within the scope of the licence purchased.

9. Prohibited Use

Unless you have received written permission from Eight28 Inc., you may not:

sell, resell, sublicense or redistribute a LifePlaybooks™ product
share purchased materials beyond the licence scope
distribute blank templates, prompts, questionnaires or bonus materials publicly
upload the materials to an unrestricted website, drive, library or membership platform
give copies to other individuals, households, teams or client organizations
use an individual or single-team purchase as a reusable consulting toolkit
reproduce or adapt the product for resale, publication or commercial training
claim our materials, frameworks or methodology as your own
remove copyright, trademark or ownership notices
use the materials to create a competing product or service
use the product unlawfully or in a way that violates another person’s rights
attempt to bypass access, payment or security controls

If you need permission for broader use, contact support@life-playbooks.com before distributing the materials.

10. Intellectual Property

LifePlaybooks™ products, websites and related materials are owned by Eight28 Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

Protected materials include:

written content
playbooks
frameworks
questionnaires
templates
prompts
processes
instructions
checklists
worksheets
graphics
product names
website content
branding
bonus resources

“LifePlaybooks™” and related branding are trademarks of Eight28 Inc.

Except for the limited licence granted with your purchase, all rights are reserved.

11. Your Information and Content

You retain ownership of the personal, household, team or organization-specific information you add to a LifePlaybooks™ product.

Eight28 Inc. does not automatically receive information entered into a downloaded template, questionnaire, Microsoft 365 environment or other third-party platform.

If you voluntarily send content to us for customer support or another requested service, you give us permission to access and use that content only as reasonably necessary to respond to your request.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to collect, use, store and share information about other people.

12. Questionnaires and Information Collection

Some LifePlaybooks™ products may include questionnaires or templates that allow purchasers to collect information from family members, employees, team members, contractors, caregivers or other individuals.

The purchaser is responsible for:

explaining why the information is being collected
obtaining any required consent
collecting only necessary information
limiting access to the responses
storing information securely
following applicable privacy laws and organizational policies
deciding how long to retain the information
deleting information when it is no longer required

Unless specifically agreed in writing, Eight28 Inc. does not administer these questionnaires and does not control the information collected through them.

13. Artificial Intelligence

Some LifePlaybooks™ products may include prompts, workflows or recommendations for using artificial intelligence tools.

Artificial intelligence may produce inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or inappropriate results. All AI-generated output must be reviewed, corrected and approved by a responsible person before it is relied upon or shared.

You remain responsible for:

deciding whether an AI tool is appropriate
complying with your organization’s AI policies
protecting confidential, personal and sensitive information
checking the accuracy of AI-generated content
exercising your own judgment
making all final decisions

Do not upload confidential, privileged, personal or sensitive information into an AI tool unless you are authorized to do so and appropriate safeguards are in place.

Eight28 Inc. does not control third-party AI tools or guarantee their availability, privacy practices, security or output.

14. Third-Party Tools and Services

Some products may refer to or require third-party tools, software, websites, subscriptions or platforms.

The product page will identify material software requirements known at the time of sale. Unless expressly stated otherwise, third-party accounts, software and subscriptions are not included in your purchase.

Third-party providers may change their services, features, prices, terms or availability at any time. Eight28 Inc. does not control and is not responsible for those changes.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policies.

References to third-party businesses, platforms or products do not imply sponsorship, affiliation or endorsement unless expressly stated.

15. Educational and Informational Purposes

LifePlaybooks™ products provide general educational, planning and organizational information.

They are not a substitute for professional advice and do not constitute:

legal advice
financial or tax advice
medical or psychological advice
employment or human resources advice
privacy or cybersecurity advice
professional certification
an individualized professional service
a replacement for workplace or organizational policies

You are responsible for evaluating the materials and obtaining appropriate professional advice where required.

16. Results Disclaimer

Our products are designed to provide structure, prompts and practical resources. We do not guarantee a particular personal, family, financial, business, employment, operational or team outcome.

Results depend on circumstances outside our control, including how the product is used, individual participation, implementation, available technology and decisions made by the purchaser or other users.

Testimonials, examples and product descriptions illustrate potential uses and experiences. They do not guarantee that every purchaser will achieve the same outcome.

17. Refunds and Cancellations

Because digital products can generally be accessed, downloaded and copied immediately, purchases are ordinarily final once access has been provided.

We do not ordinarily provide refunds because a purchaser:

changes their mind after receiving access
does not download or use the product
does not have the required third-party tools
decides the product is not suitable after purchase
does not complete the process
is dissatisfied with a third-party platform or AI-generated output
attempts to use the product beyond the purchased licence

If you are charged more than once, do not receive the purchased product, or receive a file that cannot be accessed, contact support@life-playbooks.com. We will review the issue and provide access, a replacement or an appropriate refund.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a refund, cancellation or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

18. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

By using our websites or purchasing a product, you acknowledge that service providers may process information for purposes such as website hosting, checkout, payment processing, email delivery, analytics and digital product delivery.

19. Website Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep our websites, checkout pages and digital delivery systems available.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, technical failures, third-party outages, security incidents or circumstances outside our control.

We may update, correct, suspend or discontinue website features or products at any time.

If a technical problem prevents delivery of a completed purchase, we will make reasonable efforts to restore access or provide the purchased materials another way.

20. Product Changes

We may update, correct, improve or discontinue products and bonus materials.

Your purchase includes the product and resources described at the time of purchase. It does not automatically include:

future products
major new editions
additional licences
coaching
consulting
implementation support
ongoing updates

We may provide updates or additional resources at our discretion.

If a material error affects a completed order, we will contact the purchaser and provide an appropriate remedy.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our websites, products and materials are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not warrant that:

a product will meet every purchaser’s needs
the materials will be completely error-free
website access will always be uninterrupted
third-party tools will remain available or compatible
AI-generated output will be accurate
use of a product will produce a particular result

Certain laws provide rights and warranties that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude those protections.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eight28 Inc. and its directors, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use our websites or products.

This includes losses connected with:

business interruption
lost information or data
technology failures
third-party services
AI-generated content
unauthorized access
decisions made using the materials
use of a product outside its intended purpose

Where our liability cannot lawfully be excluded, the total aggregate liability of Eight28 Inc. relating to a product will not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits a mandatory consumer right.

23. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate product access if we reasonably believe that:

payment was fraudulent
the product has been shared outside the licence
the materials are being resold or redistributed
intellectual property rights have been violated
the product is being used unlawfully
access or security systems are being misused

Termination does not transfer ownership or permit continued distribution of the materials.

Terms relating to intellectual property, licence restrictions, disclaimers, liability and governing law will continue to apply after termination.

24. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta.

Legal proceedings relating to these Terms will be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Alberta unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising a legal right or remedy that cannot be waived.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our products, business practices or legal obligations change.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.

The Terms presented when you make a purchase will govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or you expressly agree to updated terms.

26. General Provisions

These Terms, together with the applicable product page, checkout information, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, form the agreement between you and Eight28 Inc. regarding your purchase and use of LifePlaybooks™ products.

If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your licence or rights without our written permission.

We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a merger, sale, restructuring or transfer of the LifePlaybooks™ business.
